Anand Selvaraj, PhD
I am from Chennai, India. After my PhD at the Institute of Molecular Biology, University of Zurich under the supervison of Prof. Walter Schaffner, I joined the lab of Prof. George Thomas as a postdoc in 2004. I use Drosophila melanogaster as a model system to understand the regulation and functions of TOR/S6K pathway. TOR/S6K pathway is implicated in a number of human pathologies including obesity, type 2 diabetes and cancer. Currently I am involved in projects related to regulation of S6 phosphorylation and its functions.
